The following is an excerpt from a story in RV business on-line.

Few companies have grown as fast as an emerging force in the recreational vehicle repossession sales as RV Help-U-Sell. This Idaho/California based company is leading the way for similar internet companies with low operating costs and a rapidly growing inventory. Repossession sales companies are nothing new but RV Help-U-Sell is turning the business upside down.

Buyers have always been skeptical of buying from an Internet company and for good reason. This new company is doing something to make buyers more comfortable with the buying process. Prospective buyers make offers directly to the lenders but the offers are non-binding. Not until the buyer has inspected and approved the sale does any money change hands.

CEO of the company Larry McCann says “We only do business with lenders that are willing to sell their repossessions for down around the wholesale price”. According to McCann “If the prices are above wholesale our program will not work”. Even though the company is Internet based they make a point of having a local person in each affiliate area. The company tag line “If we can’t sell it, you pay nothing” is appealing to lenders. Lenders only pay RV Help-U-Sell if a sale is made.

In addition to RV’S, boats, cars and trucks the company is moving into the heavy equipment and aviation market. Time will tell if the repossession sales will continue to grow. With the condition of our economy the future of repossession sales looks like a good bet!

 News & True RV StoriesTrue RV StoryJune 20, 2012 My wife and I purchased a new 2012 Winnebago motor home from an Internet company selling recreational vehicles on-line. We were very pleased with the RV as well as the money we saved by purchasing it directly from a bank. People who are thinking of buying an RV from one of these companies should be aware of a few things before they buy. Unlike buying from an RV dealership there is no one there to show you how to operate any features on the RV.The RV we bought did not even have an operation manual. We were able to get one off the Internet but for some people this could be a problem. We bought our RV from RV Help U Sell just one of these repossession sales companies. We called the main company and they put us in touch with the Winnebago industry warranty division. We were able to transfer the original warranty into our name for a $50 fee. This was a great deal for us as there was thirty three months left on the factory warranty.We did a lot of research before we purchased our coach. We saved around $25,000 off of any prices that we had found at a dealership or the private seller market. I would advise anyone thinking of buying an RV from any repossession company to ask every question that you can think of.
